Enclosed transport moves your vehicle inside a fully covered trailer instead of on an open deck. It protects the car from rain, sun, road grit, stone chips and highway debris for the whole trip. Many enclosed carriers haul fewer vehicles per load and use liftgates or extra-long ramps, which matters for low-clearance cars.
Vehicles we commonly move enclosed
- Classic and antique cars, restorations and project cars
- Exotic and high-performance vehicles
- Luxury sedans and SUVs, new or low-mileage
- Show cars, auction purchases and collector vehicles
- Lowered or modified vehicles that need soft-tie or liftgate loading

Classic car tips
- Tell us about ground clearance, spoilers and any non-original parts so the right loading equipment shows up.
- If the car doesn’t run or has weak brakes, say so. It changes what equipment is needed.
- Keep fluids at normal levels and secure or remove loose trim, covers and accessories.
- Photograph the car in good light before pickup and keep copies of any appraisal or documentation for your own records.
Open vs. enclosed: how to choose
Open transport is perfectly suitable for most daily drivers, and it’s the more economical option. Enclosed costs more because of the specialized equipment and smaller loads. It makes the most sense when finish, value or originality matters more than the price difference. Unsure? Request both on the quote form and we’ll lay out the options.
Pickup and delivery day
At pickup, the driver walks around the vehicle with you or your representative and records its condition on the bill of lading before loading. Point out any existing chips, scratches or quirks, such as a tricky ignition, a kill switch or a battery disconnect. At delivery, do the same walk-around in good light and compare against the pickup report before signing. If you can’t be there, any adult you authorize can handle either end.
Moving a car to a buyer, a restorer or a new garage? Give us the contact name and access details at the destination, such as gate codes, loading-dock hours and any building rules, so the driver can deliver without delays.
For collector cars, it also helps to send photos and any special loading instructions ahead of time so the carrier arrives prepared.
How booking works
- Send your details. Enter the vehicle, pickup ZIP, delivery ZIP and your dates on the quote form, or call (469) 442-0643.
- A real person reviews it. There’s no autoresponder bidding war. Someone who knows the lane looks at your dates.
- We match a carrier. We reach out to vetted, insured operators already running in your direction.
- Pickup and delivery. Your driver inspects the vehicle, loads it, and calls ahead before delivery.
Frequently asked questions
Is enclosed shipping slower than open?
Not necessarily, but fewer carriers run enclosed, so schedules can be less flexible. Earlier booking helps.
Can you transport a non-running classic?
Often yes. Let us know up front so we can book a carrier with a winch or liftgate.
Do you offer hard-sided or soft-sided trailers?
Both exist. Tell us if you have a preference and we’ll match it where possible.
Can I ship to or from a car show or auction?
Yes. Send us the event address and the timing, and we’ll plan the pickup or delivery around it.
Is my vehicle insured in transit?
We work with vetted carriers that carry cargo insurance. If you have a high-value vehicle, ask for the carrier’s certificate before booking.
Ready to get a quote?
Tell us where the vehicle is, where it needs to go, and when. We’ll come back with a real carrier plan.
